Does Your Mine to Mill Reconciliation Have Variances That are Difficult to Explain?

OUR SPECIALTY IS SOLVING MINE TO MILL RECONCILIATION COMPLEXITIES

ABOUT US

We are a Western Australian based consultancy providing a range of expert mine to mill reconciliation solutions to the mining industry. Our specialty is designing mine to mill reconciliation models and services to improve data quality feeding into the model.

PRODUCT INFO

We have developed an in-house specialty model to optimise the mine to mill process for mining companies. This model is exclusive to Upside Geometallurgy and has unique functionality to promptly identify variances in the production process, allowing for prompt identification of efficiency improvement opportunities

.

OUR SERVICES

We are a leading consulting agency who specialises in addressing complex geological and metallurgical reconciliation challenges, possible due to a strong background in both technical and production aspects of mine to mill functions, resulting in a proven track record in adding value to ASX listed mining companies.

ABOUT US

Designing tailored Mine to Mill Reconciliations is what we are about.

Upside Group, trading as Upside Metallurgy and Upside Geometallurgy, was established in 2017 by founder Lee Richardson. After exposure to various companies and sites both in Australia and overseas, Upside Geometallurgy saw a need for high level input that links Geology and Metallurgy functions.

Numerous mining companies have implemented Upside Geometallurgy’s mine to mill reconciliation model. Consultation generally begins when there is either:

Unexpected and unexplained overcall (or undercall) in mine claim grade

g29_Bullet Point.png

Uknown discrepancy between milled and mined tonnes between various ore sources

g29_Bullet Point.png

A discrepancy between mill reconciliation and mine claims

g29_Bullet Point.png

Excessive error in mill reconciliation factor over a number of months

g29_Bullet Point.png

Excessive complexity in existing mine to mill model which requires simplification and improved transparency

PRODUCT INFORMATION

After many years of conducting mine to mill reconciliations from a production point of view, and through multiple model builds, the following functionality has been built into our model:

Significant reduction in time to execute the task

Logical presentation of data flows, highlighting discrepancies and issues promptly

Upon consultation with site, improved interface between the mill metallurgical reconciliations and mine claims by improving data capture quality on the ROM and other material transfer points

Tonnage and metal mass balance check in and check out functionality built in to ensure that the model balances

Variance checks at each material transfer point (mined, hauled, crushed and milled), with functionality to identify where variances are coming from

Stockpile closing stock tonnes and grade are calculated from opening stocks and material flow in and out as a comparison/check against survey tonnes and assigned grade

Smart lists of valid ore stream combinations allowable at each geographical location are developed on the fly, reducing the room for error

Can group with unlimited categories (i.e. mine, grade bin, mine type, rock type), and roll up to whatever combination for reporting purposes

Selection of reports developed that are used by various gold mining companies

Report outputs feed into accounting functions for month end reporting

System customisable to suit the business requirements of your company

Flexible model to capture and track Crushed to Ground stocks, Fine Ore Bin stocks and Scat stocks

Error checks for each mine and mine-grade bin combo
